The scenario above is a demonstration of the preparation
for ICP Monitoring.

In this scenario, there is a patient who has bleeding into
the brain following an injury.The doctor has made a
decision to insert an EVD ( external ventricular device).

Under sterile conditions, the neurosurgeon shaves and
cleanses the area of the head for EVD insertion.

Myocardial infarction A heart attack is the layman's term for a (MI) myocardial infarction.     It is caused by  a lack of blood supply to the heart muscle. A blood clot  or plaque, may obstruct the flow of blood.
