 IN THE ICU

In the ICU, Mr. S will be closely monitored.
Responsibilities would include: 
- Follow MD orders
- pneumonia prevention ( turn, cough and deep breathe)
- pain assessment and management
- documentation per policy
- see above.

Aneurysm Rupture
Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm tends to affect men more 
than women, generally over the age of 60. Symptoms
include abdominal pain or pain in the lower back and 
abdomen. An increase in pain occurs as the aneurysm
expands.
Pulsation of the aneurysm may also occur. Following
the rupture of an aneurysm, some patients go into shock.
